If you're thinking of changing your cartridge - and this is very much the case for any turntables with straight tonearms and do not have removable headshells - don't do it unless:
you have the right tools,
you know what you're doing and
you're very very careful.
Tonearm wires and cartridge clips are horrendously delicate and will fall off if handled incorrectly. If you've done this then don't try and fix it yourself unless:
you have the right tools,
you know what you're doing and
you're very very careful.
If your turntable has a removable headshell then it's a little less risky because the cartridge leads on those are typically much more robust......but you still need to ensure:
you have the right tools,
you know what you're doing and
you're very very careful.
Pro tip: If you are going to change your cartridge, remove the stylus first and only put it back on after your cartridge is all wired up and bolted down.
Better yet, bring it in for a service and a cartridge fitting and take all the stress and hassle out of the equation :)
