Akai AP-001 Belt Drive turntable plus Extras
BONUS: Comes with original user manual and a Behringer PP400 Phonostage!
Made in Japan in 1978, the Akai AP-001 was part of Akai's finest range of turntables they ever made. There is nothing cheaply made on this turntable. Under the hood it's made to last - no fragile plastic parts in sight.
This is the incredibly rare black version of this fabulous belt drive turntable and it is in good condition for its age.
It has a superb tonearm, with dynamic anti-skating - no need to twirl any dials - the anti-skating sets itself. The removable headshell can accomodate a wide range of cartridges should you ever choose to upgrade.
It is a semi-automatic turntable - perfect for those who don't want to get up at the end of a record to stop it spinning - the Akai AP-001 simply stops the record spinning at the end of play.
This turntable has been recently serviced and is ready to spin for you. It also comes with a new stylus and is fully setup in all repects.
